A connection between land, learning and environment. Grounded in earth, expressed through light, form and flow.⁠
⁠
We were honoured to work with Swanbury Penglase again on this state-of-the-art facility, designed to provide flexible and adaptable learning spaces that support both current and future ways of learning. ⁠
⁠
We wanted the graphics to complement the architecture while also honouring the site’s agricultural history ~fostering a sense of connection, belonging and respect for the land’s past.⁠
⁠
The design uses light and movement through abstract, layered forms inspired by earthly striations, symbolising connection, growth and continuity. These graphic layers create a welcoming sense of presence and purpose throughout the space. Dots and perforations represent individuals ~ each unique, yet part of a larger community. The interplay of light adds flow and orientation, encouraging inspiration and harmony across both the learning environment and the wider community.⁠

Welcome to 2026. A milestone year for the studio.⁠
⁠
Twenty years ago, Prana Studios began in the most unexpected, beautifully messy way. ⁠
⁠
I was closing a previous design business and navigating major life changes. So I did what any emotionally-fuelled, slightly unhinged creative might do ~ I decided I was going to open a yoga studio. (I was in my yoga era).. I registered the name Prana Studios, thinking I was stepping onto a whole new path. But soon after, it became clear that I was still fuelled by design. I kept the name and refocused the business ~ and Prana Studios was born exactly as it was meant to be.⁠ A design studio.⁠
⁠
Since then, I’ve had joy of working on some incredible projects across Adelaide + Melbourne, collaborations that have shaped, challenged, inspired me and every year remind me why I love this work.⁠
⁠
To everyone who has been part of this journey ~ past and present clients, contractors, collaborators, supporters and my family ~ thank you. Truly. Your trust and kindness carried me through some of the most magical times in this business.⁠
⁠
So where to from here? Well, I’m twenty years older than when I began, I have now moved into my pilates era, and while I still love what I do, I am moving at a gentler pace. Not ready to plan an exit from design… though the future is always full of surprises. ⁠
⁠
Here’s to twenty years of Prana Studios ~ I will continue with creativity, a whole lot of gratitude and my ongoing commitment to cringing at typography that make my eyes twitch.⁠

We worked closely alongside Swanbury Penglase interior design package to develop a signage package that not only aligns visually with the new space but feels harmonious in the environment it sits within. ⁠

Informed by biophilic design principles, the graphics + signage were created to nurture connection, bring calm and enhance the natural rhythm of the interiors. Informative where needed, gentle where appropriate the design is intentionally integrated with both human experience and the environment in mind.⁠

A special thank you to Inca Constructions + Signlab for working closely with me to ensure the signage package was executed seamlessly and with care and precision, and it is always a vibe working with @swanbury_penglase team. ⁠

We’ve completed a beautiful wayfinding and signage program for a new residential address on The Parade recently. A thoughtful collaboration with the architect and builder to create a cohesive, elegant system that complements the building’s design and meets project constraints. Working closely with the signage contractor to iron out any production issues, the result adds refined finishing touches to the building as new residents begin to move in. Stay tuned for the commercial space to be completed…

When our client is clear on the brief and styling direction we listen with intent and — sometimes (read as: all the time) we throw something in they might not expect. The chosen design was definitely not where her initial design gauge was. We know when to push a little and the end result may have the same essence but done differently, the results are a perfect solution.
